Elisa’s Musical Life

Keep On Keepin On
Perhaps there is hope, after all.

November 2008

Thursday November 13
Pink & Green Party
Fundraiser for Code Pink
Medjool
2522 Mission St.
San Francisco, CA
7PM to ??
Donation Requested

Elisa and members of BHB - aka the Bryan Harrison Band, sometimes aka the Hummingkats -- will serenade revelers at this fab and festive shindig.

Code Pink Women for Peace kicks off the San Francisco Green Festival with a Pink & Green Party! Join the celebration. Wear pink & green. Enjoy inspiring music, excellent food, tasty libations, progressive fun, and amazing city views from Medjool’s beautiful rooftop patio.*

Among other spunky songs poised to rouse all you rabble, Elisa will reprise “Wake Up,” an anthem she wrote for her Code Pink commadres who have protested against war in many creative ways, including camping outside a certain alleged representative's mansion for weeks on end, just hoping to persuade said rep to meet with peace activists, for crying out loud. Whoops, that was a bit of a rant, wasn’t it?

Donations encouraged. Cash bar. For more information, contact Nancy via phone at 415-575- 5543 or via email at peace@globalexchange.org.

*Plan B for inclement weather: gather on the mezzanine level, instead. This party WILL go on!

Saturday November 22
Orinda Farmers’ Market
Orinda Way (near the Rite Aid & Safeway)
Orinda, CA
9AM to 1PM
FREE

BHB’s Northern California Organic Tunes Tour continues with one more, that would be encore, visit to lovely Orinda for the final market date of the year. Please come out to support these lovely vendors, too.

Sunday November 30
Jack London Square Farmers’ Market
Broadway & Embarcadero
Oakland, CA
10AM to 2PM
FREE

Come join the fun at BHB’s debut at the Jack London Square Farmers’ Market. This one is for all you urban-centered fans who’ve wanted to see BHB in one of its favorite settings, but couldn’t justify the carbon footprint of a long trek to far-flung locales like Walnut Creek or San Mateo. Here’s your city-centered opportunity! Enjoy the grooves and harmonies of BHB in the heart of Jack London Square!

We think this will be the final stop on BHB’s 2008 Northern California Organic Tunes Tour. You will be alerted if the preceding statement becomes inoperative. And by the way, does anyone else find the juxtaposition of the words “Jack London“ and “square“ a tad... ironic?
