BEFORE
ANYTHING ELSE I suggest you create a folder on your computer
called
art003. This folder is where you will save all files that
you will place on the internet--
save all your final images (.jpgs) and all webpages (.html)
in this folder only.
DO no make folders in this folder. just place all finished
work here.
You
may decide to create another folder for files you are
working on and original larger image files, maybe call
that "art003 work" or "art003pics"
Assignment 1 is basically taking a picture, or getting
a picture ready to post on your art 003 page later, in
Assignment 2. You will re-size the image correctly for
posting on a webpage.
After the image is resized correctly just upload it to
the Assignment 1 box located under Lessons in ANGEL. Also,
you will introduce yourself to your group members.
1.)
Take a photograph of yourself or have someone take one
of you, or scan an older photograph. This image will be
used in Assignment 2 on your frontpage.
I request that the image be a picture of you,
so that I can have an image of who I am talking to.
Since it is a Web class I can walk right by some of you
on campus and never know you're my student! But, if you
do not want to have an image of your face online, you
may be creative about it, maybe use a group photo of your
family or include your pet or do a portrait of your hands....
2.) Be sure that you size the image correctly, for posting
on the Web.
See RESIZING
IMAGES FOR THE WEB
Save it in your art003 folder.
3.) After the image has been re-sized, upload the image
to the Assignment 1 drop-box on ANGEL in Lessons.
Be sure it is saved with your last name as the title:
"Lastname.jpg"
