I wouldn't say that any new form of communication has 'replaced' any
other, but I think that is true only because there has been so much work
related to preserving old languages and that each one is required to learn
and move on to the next. It is difficult to say whether or not any
communication will replace others when they keep poppoing up so quickly,
it would take a great deal of time. I would also argue that some forms of
new media, expecially television, film and the telephone are recognized to
a much greater extent as culturally influential to many people
than
paintings and writing in the past decade or so. Of course, it depends on
where you are and who you are.

I did not mean to define 'real' choreography as a merely physical
experience, most of dance in general happens in the mind.

I wanted to see what other people think about it. It's interesting to see
how much people actually think about the way that media affects art and
it's economic viability, etc.
