The Dance On Camera Showcase is an educational outgrowth of the Dance

the showcase will offer both new and historical films introduced by the
filmmakers whenever possible. The directors to be included are pioneers
Georges Melies, the French magician turned filmmaker, and Maya Deren,
the
American wizard, and contemporary artists Bridget Murnane, Michael
Downing, Alan Schacher, Michael Bowyer, Carol Kyles Finley, Jacgui
Kuraj, Jodi Kaplan, Tracie Mitchell, Daniele Wilmouth, Michael Cole, and
Tony Powell. On November 11th, a round table debate about the art of
dance video interspersed with video examples will be held among
experienced practitioners of dance videographers: Amy Reusch, Douglas
Rosenberg, Johannes Holub, Penny Ward, and Dennis Diamond who
collectively represent 100 years of dance video experience.
