Good Morning,

My assistant & stage manager, Ami, says she will be leaving in September. Do
any of you know of anyone that might be interested in an entry level staff
position. I need someone with a variety of skills, but who will work cheap.
This is a twelve month position and the starting pay is around $22,000 plus
benefits. I can't offically advertise until I get her resignation, and she
will be in techs all this week, I will be gone next week, and the university
is slow, so it may not advertise until late July!

Job Requirements:
* experience as a stage manager
* computer skills
Must - Macintosh experience (or ready to learn quickly)
word processing (we use Microsoft Word),
Internet savy (WWW authoring a plus)
Stong Need - database (Filemaker Pro), spreadsheets (Lotus 1-2-3),
Scheduling (Now Up-to-Date), networking
Desired - Director & Photoshop experience
* basic technical theatre skills - basic scenery and prop construction,
knowledge of audio and video equipment and recording procedures,
implementation of lighting designs. Scenic Artistry a PLUS!
* (to start with full salary) Three years experience in fine arts production
(some university training may apply)

Duties will include but not limited to:
* STAGE MANAGEMENT OF ALL PRODUCTIONS
* Assisstant Production Management of all shows
licensing
scheuling of rehearsal and performance space
processing of related paperwork
purchasing and some book keeping
cataloging of departmental video and audio recordings
production communications

* Technical direction & assistance
hang, circuit, and focus lighting designs (ETC console experience a PLUS)
occasionally construct some scenery or props
simple rigging
painting (scenic artistry a real PLUS)
theatre maintenance
some digital and analog audio recording (CD, DAT, hard drive, cassettes)
video recording and dubbing

* Assist faculty safety and security chairperson
issuing and control of keys
alarm instruction
security of building - locking studios and building at night when
security person on
vacation etc...
