I knew this was completely ridiculous, but I could not stop the surge of anger.
I had made my way somehow to a dark room at the edge of Molly's house. I walked
across the hardwood floor my steps measured, resounding, and stood looking out
into the icy moon-filled night whose stillness was recorded by the myriad black branches of naked trees
forming there traceries through the sparkling stars.
They were sharp, brilliant points of light on the deepest blue of the distance
which quivered with its possibilities.
