Was Jackson left alone? Was he left alone on the side of the road as Christian traveled on to new unfolding realms and great possibilities? Was he expected to come along, and to master the lore?
When he was a teenager he had been left to ask his teenage sister-in-law what was happening to him and what could be done.
Jackson had asthma.
Neither of them knew what to do.
And so nothing was done.
