This was not only like Cesca, it was the essence of her,
these rapid questions formed richly of merging purpose and feeling.
"You have a plan, don't you?" I was sure that she had. I couldn't
help grinning, and I knew my eyes were shining with the expectation.
But she raised her black brows innocently. Her face was
a portrait of Ingenue. "I?" she drawled delightfully.
I laughed.
That was so easy to do here, with Cesca. It didn't really matter where we
were though this morning, this late, proud morning, we were high up; we
were floating in the cloudless blue the very essence and the definition of
halcyon. And we were, too.
