The button below was created from a smashed torus duplicated several times, scaled, and rotated, and then pressed. Its texture is actually metallic gray; all colors are due to lighting.
These littles are metallic ovals spotlighted
on a shiny textured brown surface. The oval was scaled down and turned ninety
degrees to give the basic shape of the striped portion.
The lefthand side shows a waiting button; its texture makes it look transparent
in stripes.
The right image shows the mouseover version or the clicked on version which
was created by altering the texture with a media glow. This was done with code
and a raytracing renderer.
