What I've seen happen with digisects is they fight. The first were created to face others of their kind in arenas and everyone bet on them. But as usually happens, things got out of hand. Parts were scavenged, stolen, patched together out of junk and unsanctioned contests were held at low tide under the Bridge. Someone realized the digisects were also getting together and not just repairing themselves but augmenting themselves, and they were also creating new versions of themselves which were sometimes powerful and sometimes freaky and sometimes both.

Not all digisects are digital. Surprised? You shouldn't be if you've ever taken a look around wherever you are. Some are analog. Some are conglomerates. There's really no end to opportunism and inventiveness, or to ingenious uses of power.
