You might've noticed that these rings
interfaces possess a different quality than a lot of the other images you've
seen. That's because they're not constructed with mesh or NURBS and images rendered
from the models. They're created by writing code and instructing a raytracing
renderer to produce images from the code. Take a look at some sample code.
Raytracing is a different type of image production. The program acts like rays
of light striking the objects thousands of times from all different directions
and in this ways tracing the outlines of the objects and giving textures and
colors which are very responsive to light as seen by human eyes.
