Gallett nodded but she said nothing. Her gaze upon Ince's back said all which needed to be said. It was not possible to stop Ince or even to divert her most times unless 1 were prepared to incapacitate her. And, as Jun had grinned and told us many times, you'd find yourself surprised at the results if you attempted that.
I wasn't ready to quit just yet. I joined Ince as she moved closer to the black gap of the entrance. "You ought to take someone with you. If not me, then let Gallett call security. I'm the sensible choice; I'm here, and I'm a med."
        "No."
"What I say is reasonable, rider."
She turned and met my eyes then. "But the situation may not be."
        "No 1 has been harmed."
"Physically, perhaps. And we know only that nothing has been reported."
"Rider," I warned, and reached to catch her sleeve as she went forward.
