At the bottom of this image you see the original torus (donout) after it's been
warped. Check the image below. In edit mode you can see how I can grab the pink
dots and drag them with the mouse. The pink and yellow lines move and the torus
is deformed. It doesn't have dark pink dots because it's not a mesh it's a NURBS.
When I have the torus the shape I want I align it in 3D space (along x, y, and
z axes) and in a relation to the 3D cursor which becomes the pivot point for
any spinning (lathe) and spin dulpication. In spin dup I select how many duplicates
and how many degrees in which direction (clockwise, counterclockwise). This
spin dup produced the group of five joined tori used for the supports.
