You see here a view across the back of the arena.
The black trapezoid to the left of center is the reverse of the wall you saw in several versions, including the multimedia equipment stations. This side, though it now looks black, is capable of screening current and past actions and also holographic movies. Maybe the judges populated this rear section. Maybe it was the high gamblers, liking their seclusion from the main stands.
