The jagged peaks of the Sawtooth Mountains, the youngest and sharpest range in the American Rocky Mountains, surround clear alpine lakes and descend to the gentle slopes of the Sawtooth Valley. This is a wilderness of spectacular beauty, where granite mountains reach up to touch clear, azure skies and are reflected back again in gem-blue lakes. Wild-life abounds on the peaks and plains and in the streams. Prehistoric inhabitants, Native Americans, Trappers, Miners, Homesteaders, Sheepherders, Tourists and Artists --- all are awed by the splendor of nature at its wild best. All of the art shown in the Sawtooth Gallery was shown during October and November of 1995 at the Four Person show organized by the Associated Artists of Winston-Salem, in Winston-Salem, NC.
