Hi Brian,

Thanks for your link submission to our site, Art on the Net (art.net).

We checked out your site at

http://www.portjeff.net/bcgrafiks/

and have a few suggestions....

First off, there are alot of large images on the entrance page
which take a long time to download on a modem and which don't really
show much or link to any where... It seems that you would want
your works to be easily accessable and the way you have it set
up, they aren't.

Your work is interesting but is hard to find due to the
layout of the first page.

Things to keep in mind when designing your space are:

- make the initial images a size that doesn't take
too long to download. also including the hight and
width values in your image tags, the downloading
of a page is increased dramtically.

- access to your works should be available without
having to scroll alot to find it.

- when displaying works, show a smaller image first
that people can click on to see a larger image.

- the background should be easy to download.

- flashing icons and images are distracting and
sometimes cause people to not want to view your
space.

- your works of art should be viewable in 3 or less
clicks into your site.

I suggest starting there. If you would like comments from
other artists concerning your space, you are welcome to send
email to talk@art.net though you might want to work on your
site more before sending such a request.

If you would like us to link to your site, please submit it
via :

Let me know if you have more questions.

thanks,
