I actually delete the original files from art.net and ftp the corrected files.
The working files are on my mac.

In Fetch in the menu bar is a pulldown called Remote
Go to --> Delete Directory or File...

This is pretty easy and keeps down on extra files.

Also I keep open the fetch transcript window which shows the unix equivalents of
what is happening in the mac like fetch window.
