This is a note to all of you who have spaces in the art.net
site gallery. We are looking to change this section of the site in
the following ways.
1 - Instead of numbered hallways, we would have hallways
leading to the following sections:
~Art Galleries
~Group Exhibits
~Artist Shows
Note that the artist shows are shows that are curated
by a person who is not the artist.
2 - For the entrance foyer to the art.net gallery section,
we would have four pillars, in between which would be
hallways leading to the different sections. It would be
a very visual experience using image maps so that
people could click on the different sections to enter.
3 - We would also have a search field on the entrance page
so that poeple could do a search of the gallery sections
for whatever they are looking for. We would include a link
to an index page that would list all the spaces in simple
text as well.
4 - Once a person enters a section of the site gallery, they
would continue to see pillars and doorways that have images
relating to the spaces they represent... We are still thinking
about how this would be layed our and could use any ideas
you may have. :)
Hopefully the above will give the visitor a better sense of entering
a virtual space than the current setup provides. Please let us know
if you have any suggestions, comments or thoughts on the above idea.
And any artists interested in helping with the graphics for this,
please send me some email.
