FALL ^Ì97 SITEWORKS, featuring:

one of Mexico¹s most respected artists, Nahum B. Zenil
new media art by San Francisco artist Rudy Lemcke
an interview with photographer Robert Giard about ³Particular Voices:
Portraits of Gay and Lesbian Writers²
and ³The Art of Code,² an essay on Robert Rauschenberg and
Jasper Johns by Jonathan Katz.

Join the COMMUNITY CENTER PROJECT for the first-ever
Gay/Lesbian event at the Asian Art Museum.

Asian Art Museum
Golden Gate Park
Monday, October 20th, 6-9 PM.

A Benefit for the Community Center Project.
$50 per person donation includes Community Center Membership.

Masami Teraoka¹s brilliant imagery exploits both Pop Art and
traditional Japanese woodblock prints, portraying the contemporary
dilemma over gender, identity and sexual behavior. The issues
explored in this exhibition are related to AIDS, computers, condoms,
environmental degredation and drive-by shootings-- all in historical guise.
