Transcendental Textures:
The Western Wall

From a series of paintings inspired by extreme close-up views
of the unique texture of the Kotel or Western (Wailing) Wall
rock surface, revealing supernal worlds and visages.

In the center of the painting one may see
the form of an angelic Dove,
suggesting
the above phrase from the Song of Songs.

The Dove symbolizes the Jewish people,
finding shelter from its
many predators and enemies,
by clinging to the Rock of Faith.

 The Women's Gallery

women's gallery

mixed materials on canvas
30" x 30" (76 x 76 cm)

In this painting one can discover various emerging faces
or visages of women, as if the Wall itself has recorded
and absorbed its many female visitors,
whose prayers are always heard, because they come
from the innermost recesses of the heart.

All paintings are gallery wrapped on stretcher (no staples shown) and can be  hung without external frame), within a limited series or "family" of similar (but never exactly the same) variations and can be considered an original. Other sizes and color combinations (within same proportions) may be available on special order. Please call or email.
