My Residency

At Pilchuck Glass School

I made only glass parts at Pilchuck. I then put them together when I got back to my studio.

See work made in 96.

Me putting some green molds (dry unfired clay) into a kiln

After the clay molds have been fired I put kilnwash on the inside and filled them up with glass. The color usually comes from oxides( cooper carbonate, cobalt carbonate MnO2 are the most common I use) that I sift over the glass as I put it into the mold.
