Earthquake Horse

During the last big earthquake, the old mare had been rolling to scratch her back. When she could not get up because the ground was in motion she thrashed. When all was quiet again she got to her feet and stamped the ground as if to say "earth stand still." I wanted to do the same, but instead just wished her luck.
