dragon

dark, the color of abandoned infernos.
crater in a shadowed volcano, crevice
leading to raw magma, fierce as raging

blood, wired thru a fine circuit board.
solid rock tunnels, obscuring mines of
obsidian, the glint of sunlight off

god's eye. occam's razor cuts deeper,
reveals tissue, bone, muscle. the world
above seen thru a caul thick as plasma,

sheer as dendrite. in a secluded cave,
underground, warm atmosphere nurtures a
tuft of mandrake. fertile valley, soft

with loam. the internal sun, a black
corona. above, ashes of schist, formed
and reformed in a luminous crucible.
