How a Poem Becomes Written

This is how a poem becomes written.

It is outlined.

     I. Write the first line -- Introduction
Young pair like tender fuchsias intertwined, 1

     II. Write the body

        A. thesis
pink and white petals so closely touched as to 2
                stem from one heart. 3

        B. support
           1) in motion
As hayweed-scented winds sweep the littered plains, 4
the fuchsias bow with gracious courtesy. 5

           2) in trial
When granite rains bend their silken petals, 6
a mutual shake scatters imposing weightdrops. 7

     III. Write the conclusion
After many seasons, the youth will expand under soil 8
and share the same roots. 9

     IV. Pick a title
                "Fuchsias"

It is written.

           Ragweed

Wizened pair like rough ragweed interlocked, 1
red and black leaves so closely hooked as to 2
           stem from one artery. 3
As carcass-scented winds fume the clarion plains, 4
the ragweed rip with battling intent. 5
When silken rains grace their granite leaves, 6
a mutual shake scatters blessed lifedrops. 7
After few seasons, the crones will expand under soil 8
and destroy the same roots. 9
