Merce Cunningham's new dance, BIPED, will have its New York Premiere this

summer at the Lincoln Center Festival '99. BIPED is a collaboration with

composer Gavin Bryars and digital artists Paul Kaiser and Shelley Eshkar.

Costumes are by Suzanne Gallo and lighting design by Aaron Copp.

The decor for BIPED features striking "hand-drawn" virtual dancers,

rhythmic abstractions, and spatial transformations that envelop the live

performance. Digitally projected onto a transparent metallic scrim covering

the entire front of the stage, the images amplify and extend the brilliant

choreography performed by the Merce Cunningham Dance Company.

New York Premiere -- 2 nights only!
Wednesday July 21 at 8pm, Saturday July 24 at 8pm

Tickets $60/50/40/20
