" A NIGHT OF LIFE...DEATH... AND TIME TRAVELLING."

Featuring JESSICA LEVY (writer/performer), JOAO GALANTE (choreographer),
NICK TANDAVANITJ (vision mixing) and MATTHEW ADKINS (sound composer)

A Portuguese Fireman (Joao Galante) who's got a thing about UFO's and a
cockney nurse (Jessica Levy) who has a one night stand with kermit, talk
about life, death and time travelling in a claustrophobic and technological
truth game that both exposes and inspires. With hypnotic vision mixing by
Nick Tandavanitj and an original gritty sound score by Matthew Adkins,
'R.E.C.' attempts to connect two people in different worlds via live and
digital communication. 'I'm stuck in a place called 'Dead Fuck'... it's
like being on a permanent day trip with no body and no head. It's like I
could be dead but I'm not. I'm wide awake and it hurts...'

'R.E.C'. evolves the use of electronic/digital media with live performance.
'R.E.C.' creators are young artists who take a multi disciplinary
approach. They use mass media stimulus to explore the popular pulse in
culture and performance.

R.E.C. is a contemporary response to 'popular culture' and the 'information
revolution'. R.E.C. explores the new relationships between artist &
audience, live & digital media. The dynamics between the body & technology
are developed through issues of speed & progress and control & alienation
as
key aspects of personnel and collective experience.
