Concerning computer literacy - it is all part of the question of what
constitutes an education for dancers which this is probably not the place to
discuss.

Concerning computer software for choreographers - can only speak for myself.
I just want to know what is out there. Working as an independent with
limited resources I am obviously attracted by the possibility of being able
to continue and extend the work that I can do with real dancers in real
space by using a computer. As a choreographer I want to explore new spaces,
virtual space being one of them. I am interested in the new ways of
thinking that working with computers engenders (new for me at any rate) and
how that may affect what I do with technology or without it. Even if at the
end of my forays into cyberspace I end up back in a theatre space making
ballets hopefully they will be a lot more interesting for the detour.
